Internal Medicine Residency Program Options

Three-Year Categorical Residency
Training in general internal medicine and all subspecialties, with dedicated faculty and an internal medicine curriculum employing traditional and innovative teaching approaches in primary care and specialty medicine.

Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Programs
Primary care and social medicine tracks integrated with the Three-Year Categorical Residency.

One-Year Preliminary Internship
1-year positions for applicants who desire preparation in general medicine before entering a specialty residency such as anesthesiology, dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology, physiatry, psychiatry, or radiology.

Intensified Research Rotation
Concentrated mentored exposure to either basic or clinical research through a specially designed schedule during the second or third year for selected residents.
