Medicine Welcomes Cevita Webb as Administrative Director of Research

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Cevita Webb, MPH, as Administrative Director of Research.

Ms. Webb completed a bachelor's degree in anthropology and master of public health at Hunter College. Her extensive history of administrative leadership in academic medicine includes nine years as Department Administrator of the Department of Structural and Chemical Biology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she recruited four new labs to the department, implemented a staff bonus incentive plan, and managed numerous major construction and relocation projects. Additionally, Ms. Webb held a number of leadership roles at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Medical College, including Division Administrator for the Department of Neurology, Merritt Center for Neuromuscular and Mitochondrial Disorders; Manager of Research and Sponsored Programs for the Division of Cardiology; and Coordinator of Research and Sponsored Programs for the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. She is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators and the Society of Research Administrators, and is certified in Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
