Medicine Faculty Honored at 2009 Graduation
Einstein College of Medicine held its annual graduation June 2, 2009. Members of the Department of Medicine who were recognized and honored included the following:
Amanda Raff, MD (Nephrology) won the Samuel M. Rosen Outstanding Teacher Award (for excellence in basic science teaching, selected by the students of the College of Medicine). Dr Raff is Assistant Professor and is based at Weiler. She runs the Renal Systems Course for the 1st year medical students.
Leslie Bernstein, MD (Gastroenterology) won the Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in Teaching. Dr Bernstein is Professor of Medicine at Einstein and Director Emeritus of the GI Division at Einstein/Montefiore.
David Prezant, MD (Pulmonary Medicine) was this year's Faculty Inductee into the honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.
Congratulations to Drs. Raff, Bernstein, and Prezant on this recognition for their contributions to medical education and excellence.
