Dr. Sami Albert Nachman earned his MD from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his education in internal medicine at Lutheran Medical Center and Cook County Hospital Chicago, his critical care fellowship at the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical school, and his pulmonary fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
As a full time faculty in the Department of Medicine at Columbia University, Dr. Nachman served as Chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as well as the Pulmonary Fellowship Director at Harlem Hospital. He was granted multiple awards as Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Nachman rose to the rank of Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University before joining Montefiore Medical Center as an attending physician in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine.
