After attending this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid teaching physician guidelines
  2. Understand what the documentation and presence rules are for face-to-face patient encounters as well as encounters falling under the primary care exception rules
  3. Have insight into the current regulatory environment in New York State and know how to deal with audits and correspondence from the various agencies governing Montefiore Medical Center

Accreditation: Albert Einstein College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
