Medical Grand Rounds this week is at Moses/Cherhasky only and is intended for the faculty.
Each attending physician who involves residents in the care of patients and who renders a bill for these services is mandated to attend a training session at least every two years.
There will be a sign-in sheet at this session for purposes of documenting attendance.
Objectives:
After attending this activity, participants will be able to:
- Understand the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid teaching physician guidelines
- Understand what the documentation and presence rules are for face-to-face patient encounters as well as encounters falling under the primary care exception rules
- Have insight into the current regulatory environment in New York State and know how to deal with audits and correspondence from the various agencies governing Montefiore Medical Center
Accreditation: Albert Einstein College of Medicine designates this
educational activity for a maximum of 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's
Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that
he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
