Born and educated in Austria, Dr. Elisabeth Paietta completed an undergraduate degree and a PhD at Karl Franzens University of Graz and conducted postdoctoral study at the University of Vienna and Montefiore Medical Center. She has been a faculty member in the Division of Oncology at Einstein since 1984 and a member of the Albert Einstein Cancer Center since 2011.

An accomplished researcher who focuses on acute leukemia, Dr. Paietta is the author of nearly 300 journal articles, letters, invited editorials, book reviews, and book chapters. She is a reviewer for numerous journals, institutions, and abstracts, including the Dutch Cancer Society, British Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, the French NCI (INCa)-Translational Cancer Research, and the Italian Ministry of Educaiton, University and Research (MIUR). She has been invited worldwide as a speaker on modern leukemia diagnosis and therapy.

Accreditation: Albert Einstein College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
