Research Interest: Sleep Medicine
Dr. Shah has been leading a cohort study of acute myocardial infarction patients who undergo sleep testing during hospitalization. Via this cohort, Dr. Shah is understanding the relationshiip between sleep apnea and myocardial infarction severity. She is also measuring vascular endothelial growth factor levels among these patient to better assess the biological pathways involved in the above noted relationship.
