Residents in the Internal Medicine Residency Program and the Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Residency Program are eligible for the same salary and benefits.

Meals and Uniforms
House officers receive allowance for three meals a day, seven days a week.
Uniforms and laundering of uniforms are provided.
Vacation
House officers receive 4 weeks of vacation each year.
Sick Leave
Short-Term Disability: 2/3 of annual salary up to $1,300 per week.
Long-Term Disability: 60% of annual salary up to $2,000 per month to age 70.
Housing
Approximately 38% of the residents live in Montefiore housing. 19% live in other areas of the Bronx, 25% live in Manhattan, and 18% live in other surrounding boroughs.
Efficiency, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments can be rented at moderate rates in 2 modern apartment buildings adjacent to the Moses Division. A new apartment house in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, 15 minutes from the Moses Division, is reserved for house staff. A shuttle service to and from this area is provided by the hospital. The House staff Office maintains a list of additional housing in the neighborhood.
