The program provides an environment for the fellow which fosters and highly regards the activities of teaching. Fellows are responsible for instructing medical students, physicians, and other allied health personnel with respect to specific cases at the bedside and in conference and for furthering patient education.
There is a strong emphasis on education and fellows act as team leaders for residents and medical students. In the last 5 years two of our fellows have elected to become Physician Educators at community hospitals.
