- Discriminant knowledge of the various imaging modalities for the kidney and urinary tract and their application in the care of patients, including the renal transplant patient.
- Ultrasonography of the kidneys and genitourinary tract (native and transplanted kidneys);
- CT scan of the kidneys and genitourinary tract (native and transplanted kidneys);
- MRI/MRA of the kidneys and genitourinary tract (native and transplanted kidneys);
- Intravenous pyelography of the kidneys and genitourinary tract.
- Radiology of hemodialysis vascular access.
- Fistulography of arteriovenous grafts (AVG) and arteriovenous fistula (AVF);
- Percutaneous angioplasty, stent placement, cryoballoon therapy, brachytherapy of AVGs and AVFs;
- Thrombolysis of clotted AVGs and AVFs;
- Placement and maintenance of tunneled and temporary double lumen dialysis catheters, including treatment of infection, dysfunction, fibrin sheath formation.
- Radiology of renal arteries
- Doppler ultrasonography, CT scan and MRA of the renal arteries;
- Evaluation and treatment of renal artery stenosis (angioplasty, stent placement)
- Evaluation of renal artery dissection or aneurysms.
