  1. Normal blood pressure regulation;
  2. Genetic disorders of both hypertension and hypotension;
  3. Mechanisms of renal regulation of sodium and water balance;
  4. Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and its role in BP regulation;
  5. Essential hypertension: mechanisms, pathophysiology, genetics, cardiovascular changes, end-organ damage, treatment, and outcomes to treatment;
  6. Renovascular hypertension: etiology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology, diagnosis, sensitivity and specificity of the various diagnostic imaging tests, treatment options and outcomes to the various therapeutic interventions;
  7. Medications used for treatment of primary and secondary hypertension, their mechanisms of action, benefit, efficacy, and side-effect profile.
