Aging Creates New Life Challenges

With clinical care specialists for patients across the spectrum, Montefiore’s Center for Aging and Independence has geriatricians available for your medical care needs.

The Einstein-Montefiore Division of Geriatrics offers outstanding primary and consultative care for older adults at Montefiore Medical Center. Our dedicated physicians are all faculty members of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and strive to adopt the latest innovations into clinical practice.

Einstein's board-certified geriatricians are either internists or family physicians, who work with a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, social workers, geriatric psychiatrists, nurses and others to coordinate care and offer specialized diagnosis and treatment for the many chronic and acute health conditions facing older adults.

Einstein provides geriatric care in all settings, from the home to the hospital.

  1. Why should I look for a physician who specializes in geriatric medicine?
There are many changes that take place while we age, physically, mentally and emotionally. The aging process creates a new set of medical concerns. A geriatrician specializes in primary medical care for patients over 65.
  2. Why should I choose an Einstein-Montefiore doctor?
The Einstein-Montefiore Division of Geriatrics is one of the nation’s top-rated centers in providing primary medical care for patients over 65.
