Areas of Research: I conduct medical education research in the areas of: assessment of clinical skills, communication skills, leadership skills, and interprofessional practice skills.

Professional Interests

Dr. Sandra Oza completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University. She received her MD from the New York University School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency training in the primary care/internal medicine program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed a two-year Clinician Educator fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, during which time she received her Master’s degree in Education from the University of California, Berkeley. After completing fellowship, she joined the faculty at UCSF as a Clinician Educator. She joined the faculty at Einstein in the fall of 2015.

In addition to serving as a primary care physician at the Montefiore Family Care Center, Dr. Oza’s academic interests in medical education include: workplace based learning and assessment, clinical skills education, assessment and remediation, with a particular focus on communication skills and clinical reasoning.
