Rohit Bhalla, M.D.

My professional activities center on improving the quality of healthcare services, and translating research findings into daily practice.  Recent projects have focused on medication and patient safety, chronic disease management, healthcare disparities, and patient provider satisfaction.  My work in these content areas is complemented by an interest in the design and evaluation of healthcare management and improvemnt methods.  With respect to measurement methods, these interests encompass the development and use of performance metrics, survey methods, data mining, and disease registries.  With respect to implementation methods, they encompass the use of patient and provider-centered techinques, information technology applications, and alternative provider reimbursement mechanisms.
