The CARE Program fellows’ didactic program in substance abuse consists of a 35-hour foundation course in addiction psychiatry. In addition, fellows attend DoSA Grand Rounds (once per month for 2 hours), and Addiction Psychiatry Grand Rounds (once per quarter for 90 minutes, part of regularly scheduled Grand Rounds in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences). The foundation course is a comprehensive review of neurobiology and other clinical aspects of drug abuse, including the following topics:
