Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship

The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship at Montefiore/Einstein is a comprehensive and rigorous two-year training program with focus on academic knowledge, clinical skills and cutting edge research in the field of endocrinology and diabetes. Fellows receive didactic lectures and hand on training under supervision of leaders in the field and have extensive opportunity to manage endocrine disorders in various stages of complexity. First year of fellowship is mainly focused on clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient setting while Second year is mainly dedicated to an in-depth research experience in basic, clinical or translational fields in various areas of endocrinology. An optional Third year is available to select candidates who are interested in a research career. As one of the largest endocrine fellowship programs in the country recruiting 4 applicant each year, our fellows learn to confidently manage large volumes of complicated patients with a balanced combination of autonomy and attending supervision. Fellows enjoy ample opportunities to shape their own learning path and prepare for their future career of choice, whether in academic medicine, private practice, medical education or research.
