Medical Student Aimee Krausz Wins Young Investigator Award

Einstein medical student Aimee Krauz received a third-place award in the Montefiore Young Investigator Symposium April 4, 2014. Ms. Krausz's presentation was entitled "Curcumin-encapsulated nano particles as an innovative antimicrobial and wound healing therapy".

Under the mentorship of Dr. Adam Friedman, Ms. Krausz is currently undertaking the Einstein-Montefiore Basic Science/Translational Research Fellowship. Her research focus is nanotechnology and its translational applications in dermatology, particularly for antimicrobial and wound healing.
