The organizational and administrative structure of the network includes a director (Dr. Diane McKee) who has both research expertise and more than 19 years experience as clinician and medical director in the urban practice setting. In addition, a steering committee has been established with broad representation from clinicians, methodologists, educators, and community representatives.
A full time project coordinator provides support for PBRN initiatives, and feedback of research results to practices. All projects undertaken in NYC RING sites have the approval of the site medical director and the NYC RING steering committee. In addition, a working group made up of methodologists, clinicians, and when appropriate, nursing or other site staff oversees each project.
