“Joy in Practice: Organizational and Workflow Strategies” 

 

Drs. Christine and Thomas Sinsky are general internists committed to practice redesign and the future of primary care. Dr. Christine Sinsky is VP of Professional Satisfaction, American Medical Association, and a Director of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Thomas Sinksy serves on the joint ABIMF-American Academy of Nursing Primary Care Initiative. They are co-authors of “In Search of Joy in Practice.” Their talk will address the link between clinician well-being and quality, highlight practice innovations that can improve clinician well-being and help reclaim the joy in practice, and outline important questions that remain unanswered.

Come join over 100 NYC RING participating clinicians, researchers, and investigators from throughout our partner sites as they showcase the wide variety of practice-based research and quality improvement actives being conducted, and to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

Submitting your work for presentation at Convocation:

We would also like to invite you to share your work with the NYC RING community, whether it’s a small quality improvement project or funded research. Please fill out the registration form and submit your abstract (approximately 300 words) here by Friday October 6, 2017 at 5pm. You can begin and save your registration form, but all submissions must be completed by Friday October 6, 2017 at 5pm.

Below are general guidelines for:

Poster submissions:

If you have (or are going to prepare) a poster for another conference, you may present this poster at the NYC RING Convocation.

We ask that you complete the registration form by Friday October 6, 2017 at 5pm.

Storyboard submissions:

If you would like to prepare a storyboard for Convocation, please use this template as a guide for preparing your slides. Please limit your presentation to 15 slides.

We ask that you complete the registration form, an abstract (directions in application), and your completed storyboard template by Friday October 6, 2017 at 5pm. We will then print and prepare the slides for presentation in poster format.

All presentation submissions must also include an abstract (approximately 300 words).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mariel Connolly. We are happy to help out with preparing storyboards and addressing any logistical issues in getting your poster/storyboard to the convocation.

The NYC RING Convocation is an annual gathering of NYC RING participating clinicians, researchers, and investigators from throughout partner sites. The event showcases the wide variety of practice-based research and quality improvement activities being conducted, and provides an opportunity to discuss opportunities for collaboration.
