The programs and activities in DMB often seem to combine the academic with the social
- Our weekly Work-in-Progress Seminars are held each Friday at noon. Lunch is served.
- On alternate Tuesdays of the academic year, DMB sponsors an invited speaker to address Einstein's research community. These Invited Speaker Seminars are followed by an informal catered lunch, open to all who would like to meet and chat with the invited speaker.
- All members of DMB participate in at least one weekly specialized interest Journal Clubs including:
o Developmental biology and signaling (co-chairs Drs. Stanley and Sibinga)
o Cancer biology (co-chairs Drs. Kenny and Di Cristofano
o Cell Biology (co-chairs Drs. Kuliawat and Wilson)
- Our Departmental Retreat as you might expect is intensely academic but at times is intensely social.

Philip Campbell from the Marlow lab was awarded an NIH NRSA F31 predoctoral fellowship.
