Financial Information


Tuition charges for 2013-14 are set at $785 per credit.  The 11-credit Certificate Program can be completed in 2 semesters.  The MPH Program is a total of 42 credits.  Full-time MPH students can complete the program in 1 year.  Part-time MPH students can complete the program in 2-3 years. Tuition is due prior to registration each semester, based on the number of credits to be taken in that semester.



Medical Student Public Health Scholarships:  Available only for Einstein medical students pursuing the MPH degree at Einstein.  Provides 50% tuition for up to 4 students (merit-based).  Einstein Medical Students who wish to be considered for the Public Health Scholarship must submit their applications by January 31, 2013.

Other Tuition Coverage Options

Yeshiva University Tuition Programs: Yeshiva University offers a variety of tuition benefits to all eligible employees.  In order to receive any type of tuition benefits, you must apply through the Human Resources Department.  The Chief Human Resources Officer is responsible for the interpretation and administration of all policies.

Certain categories of employees are eligible for tuition remission (100% coverage of tuition) and others are eligible for tuition reimbursement.  Certificate programs are not eligible for tuition remission.

If you believe you are eligible for tuition remission, you need to begin the process of applying so that by the first day of class permission has been received.  Registration for the upcoming semester must be completed before submitting your application for tuition remission.  Tuition remission benefits are not retroactive and will continue only as long as the employee is eligible.

If you are eligible for tuition reimbursement, please note that your tuition must still be paid in full before the first day of class.

We strongly advise that you contact Barbara Wirchin in the Human Resources Department at least 1 month prior to the start of the semester to find out what your benefits are to begin the process of applying.  Please note: Approval from your department head is required on applications for any type of tuition benefit. 

Upon approval of your application, the Human Resources Department will contact Student Finance to advise them of your benefits.  Student Finance will adjust your account accordingly.

Montefiore Medical Center Tuition Reimbursement:  Tuition reimbursement is available for the MPH program only.  

    • All full-time regular associates who are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement, will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $3,000 per academic year.
    • All part-time regular associates who are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement, working at least 50% of the full-time schedule, are eligible to receive benefits on a pro-rated basis.

Convenient payment plans available: Make several payments throughout the semester. The University uses Tuition Management for payment plans. Their site is Students will be able to enroll in a semester plan, for each semester.
