The overall goal for the Population Health and Health Systems (PHHS) Core is to support research that promotes the health of populations with or at risk for diabetes. The Core addresses how to improve the uptake of type 2 diabetes research findings into practice and disseminate effective interventions across health care and community settings. Emphasis is on improving health outcomes that are equitable and sustainable.

Consultation related to data-base services:

  1. Support investigators, health systems, and public health/community organizations in developing and disseminating diabetes and obesity translational research programs
  2. Facilitate access to and effective use of available health information technology resources (including large datasets and claims data) to address questions related to obesity and to diabetes prevention and control.
