Behavioral, Psychosocial, and Environmental Determinants of Health and Health Disparities


Einstein Diabetes Research Center investigators are engaged in intervention development and evaluation for prevention of diabetes and its complications, research in health disparities, epidemiologic and geographic/environmental studies, and cost analyses.

Areas of interest include:

  • interventions to promote lifestyle change for weight loss and obesity prevention in adults and children
  • adherence to preventive and therapeutic medications
  • promotion of screening for diabetic retinopathy among African American and Hispanic individuals with diabetes
