THE BOLD PROGRAM IS ALSO A PLACE TO LEARN ABOUT CANCER, ITS TREATMENT, SIDE EFFECTS AND DEALING WITH THE DAY TO DAY PRACTICAL MATTERS OF LIFE

MANAGING YOUR FINANCES DURING AND AFTER CANCER:

A lecture on finances and money management for cancer patients and survivors. Discussion topics include assessing and budgeting for current financial situations, developing financial plans, managing, recognizing signs of financial trouble, handling financial emergencies, dealing with unmanageable debt and other appropriate topics.
 

BREAST RECONSTRUCTION:

An educational workshop on options for breast reconstruction given by a breast surgeon.
 

AFTERCARE/TREATMENTS:

A talk about cancer treatment and aftercare including topics such as testing, treatment regimens, and common side effects.
 

SEXUAL HEALTH AFTER CANCER FOR WOMEN:

For women who have been diagnosed with cancer and are interested in learning about how to enhance their intimacy and sexual health in a safe, supportive and educational group setting. Women may feel free to bring their partners.
 

SEXUAL HEALTH AFTER CANCER FOR MEN:

For men who have been diagnosed with cancer and are interested in learning about how to enhance their intimacy and sexual health in a safe, supportive and educational group setting. Men may feel free to bring their partners.
 

MAKING INFORMED DECISIONS: TESTING & MANAGEMENT FOR HEREDITARY BREAST & OVARIAN CANCERS:

A talk about ovarian and breast cancer prevention discussing risks, occurrence, symptoms to watch out for, and early detection.
 

LEGAL ISSUES IN CANCER:

A workshop that gives you the opportunity to speak with lawyers on legal issues including: Housing, Public Benefits, Family Law, Power of Attorney, Living wills, Health Care Proxy, and more.
