Dr. Lona Dash's research project entitled "Chitinase and specific antibody in the cerebrospinal fluid and serum of patients with cryptococcal meningoencephalitis" is aimed at determining if correlations exist between immunological parameters such as serum and CSF chitinase and specific antibody responses on the one hand and clinical/ laboratory characteristics on the other, in patients with Cryptococcal Meningoencephalitis. She learned advanced techniques during her stay in AECOM and also successfully completed the CRTP Summer Course, 2010.
