Pre-Employment Screening Process

The Pre-employment Screening Process Consists of the Following:
  • Reference Checking/Letters of Recommendation
  • Background Screening via third party vendor, Orange Tree Employment Screening which includes:
    • Social Security Trace
    • Criminal Background Investigation including Federal and State
    • Sex Offender check
    • OIG Screen
    • OFAC (Exclusion List) Screen
  • Education Verification (if degree is international, it will need to be translated and evaluated prior to start date).
    • Please Note: As an option, the original diploma can be presented as proof of highest degree earned to expedite this verification process
  • Drug Screening via Quest Diagnostics
    • ** For international candidates, upon arrival to the US, candidate will make an appointment with HR Onboarding Coordinator to conduct drug screen.
  • Verification of Licenses (if required)- If position requires a license or professional certification, original documentation of these credentials must be sent to Human Resources before first day of employment.
  • OHS Medical Clearance (if required)
    • *Candidate has the option of completing this through their primary care physician. For international hires, requirements will be sent by OHS office prior to arrival for completion of the medical clearance process.
